Support
We are here to help you wake up.
Contact us
The fastest way to reach us is by email at support@sonora.so. We are a small team and aim to reply within two business days. When you write, it helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and a short description of what happened.
Getting started
- Set an alarm: tap the plus button on the home screen, set the time, choose your repeat days, and pick a sound.
- Pair a stopper: bind the alarm to an NFC tag or a product barcode. That code becomes the only way to silence the alarm in the morning.
- Place it across the room: put your tag somewhere that forces you to stand up and walk, like the bathroom or kitchen.
- Scan to stop: when the alarm rings, scan the paired code to silence it.
My alarm did not ring. What do I do?
Alarm Code runs within the limits Apple gives every third-party app. A few settings make it far more reliable:
- Allow notifications and the alarm permission when the app asks during setup. Without them the alarm cannot ring while the app is closed.
- Keep the app open overnight for the loudest, most reliable wake-up. If you force quit the app from the app switcher, some features cannot run until you reopen it.
- Do not use Low Power Mode overnight if you can avoid it, since iOS limits background activity in that mode.
- Allow Alarm Code in Sleep Focus: open Settings, then Focus, then Sleep, then Allowed Notifications, and add Alarm Code.
- Keep Background App Refresh on: Settings, then Alarm Code, then Background App Refresh.
- Set a backup alarm in the built-in iOS Clock app for anything you truly cannot miss. We recommend this for everyone.
How do I stop the alarm?
You scan the NFC tag or barcode you paired with that alarm. There is no snooze button and no swipe to dismiss, by design. If you scan the wrong code, the alarm keeps ringing until the correct one is scanned.
I lost my tag
You can pair a new stopper at any time. Any product barcode works, so grab something nearby and pair it, or use an inexpensive NFC sticker. We suggest keeping a stable, hard-to-lose option.
Purchases and restoring premium
Alarm Code is free to use, with optional premium features. If you bought premium and it is not showing as unlocked, open the upgrade screen in the app and tap "Restore". If a charge looks wrong, refunds are handled by Apple through your App Store account. Email us if you need a hand.
Delete an alarm
On the home screen, press and hold an alarm to delete it. Tap an alarm to edit it.
